The Master Painter

It’s been a bit since I last posted on here. I plan on having a few pictures in the next post of what I was working on a few weeks ago.

Besides being a follower of My King, I am also a painter. He has graciously gifted me in an extraordinary way with art, and my favorite form is painting. I have become much more in touch with Him and my painting in just the last couple years. Previous to my twins, I painted what we were supposed to paint in class and would come up with things on my own. I wanted Him to use my talent, but was out of touch as to how to let Him move my paintbrush and design the works. After my twins, I began to “hear” were paintings from Him. Now I have to have a notebook with me at all times, just a little one to write down what He reveals to me. Sometimes the works are prompted by people around me and by what they’re saying. Other times, the works just pop into my head and have to be recorded lest they be lost. I think the worst part about the multitude of works to be done now is accomplishing them. Many of them are not so much needing to be done now, but more like they should be done sometime. Some inspire me, just at the thought of finally getting to work on them. Alas, I don’t have a place to paint nor the materials for all of them. Although, He has pulled through for me every time I needed supplies. I’ll give you more details with the next post when I have the pictures for you to better understand how He works awesomely.

On the last painting I worked on, many times I asked Him to guide my paintbrush to better show what originated from Him in the first place. I always defer to My King, the Master Painter. How can anyone look at a sunset and not see His masterful strokes, the beauty of it? Look at the stars, places like the Horse Head Nebula and the exquisite colors in them. How can people doubt that there’s someone behind this beauty? From the stars, to the skies, and even to a dew-ladened spiderweb, there is a master artist behind it all. My King is the Master Artist, the Master Painter. By His grace and Will, I study His artwork and listen to Him, learning His ways. Glory be to Him for His majestic creation.

Matthew 6:28-29 MSG
Instead of looking at the fashions, walk out into the fields and look at the wildflowers. They never primp or shop, but have you ever seen color and design quite like it? The ten best-dressed men and women in the country look shabby alongside them.
